South Africa urged to find better ways to manage water

Reports of drought conditions in South Africa, coupled with poor water infrastructure management and maintenance are expected to have a significant impact on the economy, particularly the agricultural sector which is especially reliant on water for a good crop harvest.
The relatively low cost of water in SA has resulted in water efficiency remaining a low priority item on the corporate agenda.
Water losses are a global problem and internationally, water risk management must now be elevated as part of an organisations sustainability agenda along with energy efficiency.
